Putting in perspective.

United States consumes 25 percent of the world's produced oil, but holds less than 3 percent of the world's proven oil reserves. (The Natural Resources Defense Council data).

Isn't this simple fact the real and only cause of most troubles?

No, it wasn't about the hypocricy, more about just simple economics of development. I mean HOW it can be different if the way of life presses in the only available direction? Sure, there is no problem with putting that need in a "right" blah-blah way, but some people overseas really think that it's just a matter of will and enlightment for americans to change their polices..
You see what I mean?
