Tumbling down. Again.

Dow Jones closed today at 7884.10, loosing 386.77 during one session.
Always thought that it will dive and stabilize eventually around 8000, which has been the most realistic number for the financial situation for some time already, but today's lower closing is surprising even for me.
Does anybody remember times of 13000? Seems like yesterday to me..
